Professional Expertise

Marlene Durrell has held senior positions in human resources in both for profit and not-for-profit organizations over the past 20 years. She has worked as a Human Resource and Change Management Consultant for two major consulting firms. Her background also includes Transition Counseling and Executive Recruitment. She holds a Master’s degree in Education (Counseling), a Certified Human Resource Professional designation (CHRP) and Coaching certification. Drawing on her corporate experience as a member of the executive team in a number of companies and her coaching expertise, Marlene coaches executives, CEOs and executive teams to achieve their desired results. She is a licensed facilitator of several leadership and coaching programs and has conducted strategic planning initiatives with a variety of organizations. Marlene’s professional expertise has been recognized through her roles as President and Past President of the International Coach Federation GTA Chapter and Treasurer of the Board of Directors for ACCORD (Association for Creative Change & Organizational Development).

Professional Experience

Marlene is a coaching instructor for Corporate Coach U, training coaches in such areas as Coaching High Performance Teams, Coaching Executives and Coaching Competencies. In addition to her experience in senior human resources management roles, she has presented workshops to groups of up to 500 participants, led strategic planning sessions, and presented to business audiences on Human Resource and Coaching related topics. She has developed performance management systems, conducted organizational audits and 360 degree feedback programs to identify opportunities for growth and development within organizations. Her focus has been on developing leadership and organizational capability to compete effectively in the marketplace, while demonstrating ethical values and employee appreciation.

Professional Development

Marlene is a graduate, faculty member and licensed facilitator of Corporate Coach U. She has a Master’s Degree in Education (Counseling) with an undergraduate degree in business and psychology. She is a Certified Human Resources Professional and a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA). She is a life-long learner, continuing to develop her expertise in Assessments, Organization Development Technologies and Coaching through her active membership in a number of related associations.
