Professional Expertise

Barbara Williamson is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with over 25 years experience working with organizations and leaders within the US and internationally. She has developed and delivered speeches, classroom sessions and programs in leadership development (including 360o assessments), coaching, career development, outplacement, organizational change, work life balance, and team effectiveness.

At Xerox, she helped design and deliver leadership development programs via tele-classes, classroom and individual coaching. She has coached hundreds of leaders from the US, Canada, France, India, Mexico, and South America. Her coaching has helped:

  • leaders to achieve their business and personal goals and visions and to create organizational cultures that attract and retain great talent and customers
  • individuals to identify their next career move internally or externally and to manage the transition and
  • teams to build trust and develop skills to increase effectiveness.

Barbara uses her coaching talent to discover what her clients truly want to be, to look at their current reality and available options in new ways and then to commit to take actions that move them toward their goals. She is masterful at helping teams and individuals to have truthful and meaningful conversations that lead to effective actions. 

Professional Experience

Barbara has managed her own consulting firm for over 10 years and worked 15 years within large companies in the financial services, insurance, public utility and transportation industries. She has worked with over 60 international and national organizations, large and small, such as Xerox, CSX, Rayonier, Mobil Chemical, Whirlpool and Tupy Steel-Brazil, Porsche Audi-Netherlands and Florida Power and Light.

Professional Development

Barbara has a doctorate in Management and Career Development from Georgia State University and a Masters Degree in Social Work and Counseling from the University of Georgia. Barbara has completed coaching certification programs offered by The Newfield Network, George Mason University in Washington, DC in Organizational Learning, New Ventures West, and Retirement Options Coaching.

She is a certified Retirement Coach, as well as a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation (ICF). Barbara has spoken at National and International Conferences on her work with leaders and organizations. She uses many different types of assessments in her work, such as Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Profiler 360 assessment, Life Options and Career Options, and other leadership and career assessments. Her passion is to help leaders, teams and organizations to be what they want to be!
